"Grandma's" Bottle Village began as a place to shelter her pencil collection
Tressa “Grandma” Prisbrey began her Simi Valley, California, Bottle Village at age 60 — because she wanted a place to store her collection of 17,000 pencils. And she also thought a bottle wall might help to keep the smell of the adjacent turkey farm at bay.
Built of half a million empty embalming fluid bottles, this home was created by David H. Brown, a retired undertaker in British Columbia.

Artist Marjan Teeuwen’s series Archief. Teeuwen's installations were once limited to the area of her house and studio, but now they require several months of construction inside buildings with a substantial teams of students and technicians. These are photographs taken from the ceiling of rooms which appear to be bulldozed construction sites, but are in fact meticulously compiled sets of worksite materials.
A close up of Daly Wayne's plastic bottle tree. Interesting note: Dale judges people's character by their interactions with glitter.
