This is a special commission I made last month for a client. I had to hold onto it and not share until now because it was made as a gift. My client who ordered it gave it to her Brother for his birthday. a normal everyday snapshot his wife and son, made into a frameable portrait. I got an email last night saying that it was very well received, in fact the mother in the picture loved it so much she cried! I'm so touched that they like it so much!

this one is an abstract i call "Broken Dreams" it is made from a close up photo of the broken transom of a boat. I made it a more soft coloured painting to give a feeling of water and waves/turbulance, and the sky.
I love these because my husband calls our photography "Carpe Lumen" which means seize the light, and this is literally that! capturing the moonlight on camera, and creating art.

this is a painting i did of the pond and our boat, inspired by summer afternoon jaunts on the pond. A cell phone picture, edited in photoshop to remove unwanted items, like children, floaties and the raft, then painted in corel using a wacom tablet/pen like a paint brush. the beauty of digital painting is that there is no waiting between layers, so this one is already printed and framed and ready to be hung.

This is called simply "Cafe". A digital water colour Paintography, I literally just finished. The Cafe is in Old Montreal and is called Olive and Gourmando. A friend took the picture while taking a break there on one of her many travel adventures.It begged to be painted! I can't wait to get it printed. it it 19 by 13 and the white framing I added shows how it would look matted larger.
