I like how this space turned out using the counter top and file cabinets. This is what I wanted to do for my office/studio space.

Two small bookshelves plus a thick board = awesome project table
This wall unit is 3 old cheapo laminate book shelves, painted, thin paneling removed and bead board added to the back for support and crown molding added to the top.

Pretty much the best website ever: knockoff DIYs of retail decor. (anthropologie, ballard design, crate & barrel, land of nod, pier 1, pottery barn, restoration hardware, urban outfitters, west elm, williams-sonoma and others). Truly some of the neatest ideas ever!!

Large work table - two hollow core doors ($25 ea.), 4 Walmart book cases ($16 ea.) Very smart! SEWING/CRAFT TABLE? I really might have to do this for my craft room.
