Chocolate Caramel Truffle Torte ~ I found the recipe in a Land of Lakes butter flyer in a holiday magazine about 12 years or so ago, and have been so glad to have kept it, as it’s a winner through and through. This deceptively simple looking dessert is luscious, rich and delicious. There are five ingredients in the torte, which makes it very easy to make and assemble ~ just be sure to use really good chocolate. The caramel sauce is a snap to make, as you simply heat up the ingredients for the sauce and stir the pot on a low boil for 5 minutes before adding some heavy cream. I ♥ that the chocolate torte and caramel can be made a day ahead of time. To serve, add whipped cream and drizzle the chocolate torte with warm caramel sauce. I don’t know how well this torte keeps, as we have never had any leftovers. Your family will ♥ it! 10/10. RUTH YEAMAN.
