Rachel Hobson We have a small mud room section in our laundry room. It's pretty basic (open space for hooks, cubby above, cabinet above that) but one thing I'm *really* glad we did was installing shoe drawers rather than open shelving. I love the idea of everything all organized and perfect in shelves, but the reality is ... that's never gonna happen around here ;) The kid can toss their shoes in the drawers as hastily and messily as they want and slide 'em shut. Poof! Mess gone. :)
