Domestic Debbie The alcohol in the purell is what gets the ink out, so you can substitute rubbing alcohol and it works just as well. Also, be careful with peroxide as it can actually 'bleach' colored fabrics. Nail polish remover removes sticky residues from hard, non-porous, non-wood surfaces (and sharpie ink, if you have no rubbing alcohol around). But it needs to have the acetone in it!
