Clothes keep slipping off plastic hangers? Use a hot glue gun to apply a zig zag pattern on the arms of your plastic hangers to prevent all your wide-necked shirts from falling off.
No more mosquito's!! Cut the top (just before the start of the cone) off a 2 liter bottle. Invert the cone and place it inside the straight part of the bottle. Glue the two pieces together, using a glue or silicon. Add 1 tsp yeast and 1/2 cup sugar to some luke warm water, and pour the mixture into the bottle. Mosquitoes are attracted to the carbon dioxide that you exhale. The yeast feeds off the sugar and emits the same gas, so the mosquito enters the bottle, thinking she will find food there.

Take your favorite liquid fabric softener and soak an old hand towel or flour cloth completely with it. Wring it out and let it dry completely, then throw it in with your next load. This mega-fabric softener sheet should be good for at least 40 loads of laundry, stretching out softener use and lessening waste.

Using a water-filled plastic bag hanging from the ceiling at many taco kiosks on the street in Mexico, is a traditional way to deter fly and keep away from eating. The reflection of the water in a cone shape, Enhances the color and movement in the sensitive eyes of a fly and chase it away.

Maya Becker can i through this mixture in the wash with my sheets?
Dip the tip of an empty Swiffer Wetjet solution bottle into boiling water for about 10 seconds and the lid twists off (use a towel). Refill with your preferred cleaning solution at appropriate dilution! and re-cap. Genius. No need to pay for more fluid... way overpriced. genius

Preserve a pristine stove top by applying a thin layer of car wax, then wiping it off. Future spills will lift off easily.

DIY If you don't have a self-cleaning oven (which burns off residue at very high temperatures), try a paste of baking soda and water. Coat the oven surfaces with the paste (avoiding bare metal and heating elements), let stand overnight, and, while wearing gloves, use a plastic spatula to remove it.

This sounds amazing, so I must try: 1. Identify areas of your wooden furniture that are unsightly because they have been bumped or scraped. 2. Get your walnut. 3. Rub the walnut on the damaged area. 4. Watch in amazement as the damaged area begins to darken.

Bug-Free Pantry Tip Keep grain moths at bay. To keep tiny bugs out of your pantry, try taping whole dried bay leaves to the sides and bottoms of your shelves.

A bundle of chalk hung in a closet will absorb extra moisture and keep clothing fresh and dry, and takes up much less room than an electric dehumidifier. Read more at Marthastewart.com: Spring-Cleaning Rooms – Martha Stewart

Ahuvah Berger i have tried this on my mortal and pestle and it somewhat worked. still a bit rusty.
MATTRESS spring cleaning:pour about 1 cup of baking soda into a mason jar and drop in 4 drops of lavender essential oil. Put on the lid and shake up the jar.Using a kitchen strainer sprinkle the baking soda mixture all over the mattress and let it sit. I leave it for an hour or more, usually the time it takes for me to finish washing all the bedding and press the bed skirt. Using the hose end of your vacuum and an upholstery attachment, thoroughly vacuum the mattress. Bye, bye dust mites and other nasty things. The baking soda helps draw up any moisture and deep dirtiness. It deodorizes and leaves the mattress smelling fresh and clean. I also love the faint scent of lavender left by the essential oil.
