Plant an Easter Garden! Using potting soil, a tiny buried flower pot for the tomb, shade grass seed, and crosses we made from twigs. Sprinkle grass seed generously on top of dirt, keep moistened using a spray water bottle. Spritz it several times a day. Set it in a warm sunny location. Sprouts in 7-10 days.

Banana, PB&J all rolled up. There is so much flavor here that you can use a multi-grain tortilla and the kids will still eat it. I like these with a little drizzle of honey and sunflower seeds.

@Libby Love Albers this made me think of your kiddos :) Calm Down Jar. It is really easy to make. The goal is that when they are feeling out of control, they shake the jar, then sit and watch the glitter settle in the water. When the glitter settles, they can get up. This one is a really great technique to use in lieu of timeout.

Turn a 2x4 into a large ruler for the wall, and record the height of your kids as they grow. You can take it when you you move to a new house.

I must remember this at Easter. To color the whites (after eggs have been boiled and yolks removed): Fill glass containers about half-full of water, and then add food coloring to each one to get the shades you desire. Adjust the amount of food coloring, depending on the intensity of the color you desire. Place the egg halves in the water, making sure that the entire surface of each egg is covered. Let the eggs sit at least one hour until you achieve the desired effect. Remove the eggs from the water and place them onto paper towels or wire rack to dry.

Rainbow drink - make colored ice cubes (water + food color), stack in tall glasses and pour clear soda. cute idea for kids! I think I'd make the ice cubes out of Kool-Aid though.

Freeze a banana, then combine with 2 tbsp cocoa powder and ice and blend until smooth & creamy. Dairy-free, 110 calories. But most importantly: delicious, because seriously, bananas and chocolate were meant to be together....nom nom nom
