Unjournaling - "Just a couple of examples of the 200 writing prompts on widely varied topics: Write a paragraph about a girl named Dot, but use no letters with a dot (in other words, no i or j). Why on earth would Yankee Doodle stick a feather in his cap and call it "macaroni"? Come up with a plausible explanation."

Nicole Swanson Yankee Doodle called it Macaroni because that word comes from a French word , meaning, "fashionable". It was spelled differently, but pronounced very close to the same way. The rhyme is about a young man with money who often had his way with the ladies. The fact that this isn't explained in the book gives me concern. However, the ideas for the writing prompts are good ideas.
