The trick is, if you're knitting stripes and ribbing at the same time, to knit every stitch the first row, then go back to the ribbing on subsequent rows. No dashes screwing up your stripes.

Put yarn scraps in a suet feeder and little birdies use it as nest material. You might even see pieces around your neighborhood ;)

shop at thrift stores for wool sweaters. Then,unravel the sweaters for the yarn. Doing it! Found a heavy blanket/shawl thingie in a delightful heather blue wool. Figured out how to get the trim off, now it's unravelling! Can't wait to make it into a granny blanket.
