gotta try this- Soak sliced apples in ginger ale or lemon-lime soda for 10 minutes. Then you don't have to buy those packaged sliced ones. Lunchbox!

Kendra Pierce A friend of mine pinned this. My question is would the apples soak up the soda. My kids don't get soda or HFCS. Plus would they taste like soda instead?
Amy Matthews I wonder if it's the carbonation and you could try seltzer water? Busy season I always buy the pre-packaged apple slices for myself. Gotta have something halfway healthy when I'm on the road.
Kendra Pierce I love the idea. Raleigh loves apples and I try not to buy anything pre packaged. I just have doubts. LOL You try it first!!

When you get your berries home, prepare a mixture of one part vinegar (white or apple cider) and ten parts water. Dump the berries into the mixture and swirl around. Drain, rinse if you want (though the mixture is so diluted you can't taste the vinegar,) and pop in the fridge. The vinegar kills any mold spores and other bacteria on the surface. Raspberries will last a week or more, and strawberries go almost two weeks without getting moldy and soft.

Kendra Pierce With Shai we use a whitening shampoo. Outlaw just used Johnson & Johnson for his sensitive skin and it was no tears! :)

Kendra Pierce Holy smoke! I really wanted to rent the house in Rodanthe that burned during Irene. Lucy Williams' family owns it. If they ever rebuild we would have to go in to do it but it's got 4 floors. :)

My hero, My grandfather. My grandfather literally helped to build Lake Gaston, he was a charter member of the lake gaston lions club and he was chief at Roanoke Wildwood Fire Department. He loved to help his community. This man is the reason that when I turned 18 I joined the fire dept. too. I worked very hard to be a firefighter and earned the respect of my fellow men. My grandfather was so proud that although he has altzheimer's we still bond over it. This pic is from 2 years ago at Firemen's day. He had a great time seeing me compete and seeing the guys that he helped train now train me. He is a inspiration. He taught me to work hard for everything, never take a handout, be myself and always stand up for what you believe in. This is the last day he remembered who I was. ♥

Kendra Pierce Let me know what you thought of life of Pi. I loved it but then I read it right after I found out NC baptist assoc. banned gays from worshipping. I was looking for religion info.
This is one of my originals. My children are my world so I make their birthday's the best day of the year. This is a fondant cake I made for Kensleigh. Last count it had been pinned over 2,000 times. :)

Gluten free- use 3/4 cup of bob's red mill all purpose baking flour instead of bisquick. I used 4 oz cream cheese and 6 oz cheddar. Very good!
