Kristin Green this might have been my favorite thing on TA's list...
Andrew Keys Mine too! More reading reveals that it's a plant-and-leave kinda thing, like you'd expect from a vining clematis as well, which move it lower down my list because I like little plants I can divide a million times over...
Variegated horseradish (Armoracia variegata), may be green the first year or two, but worth the wait

Gold dust plant (Aucuba japonica), for dry shade in my front garden, and it's a lot more cold-hardy than you'd think.

Silver Russian olive (Elaeagnus angustifolia 'Quicksilver'), from Cistus Nursery -- thought it was a prohibited invasive here, but I guess it's legal.
Alabama croton (Croton alabamensis), from Nearly Native Nursery. Yep, it's a hardy relative of your houseplant croton.

Michelle Gervais AHS: syn. Polygonatum cyrtonema. Gets 16" tall, 12-16" wide. Z7-9. Sigh. Can't grow it in my garden.
Andrew Keys Zone 7? PDN says 6, and Lazy S says 5. I think AHS is out of date.
Andrew Keys Also, Sunshine Farms says he's been growing it in his Zone 5 garden for many years.
Michelle Gervais Setting yourself up for heartbreak, my friend...
Andrew Keys Heartbreak? Wow. Now you're just being mean. I don't mind if you don't want to try it, but taunting isn't nice.
Fetching pins…
Gayleen Hammond One of my favorites. Especially deep purple.
Andrew Keys Cool!
