Wow. Tissue removal with scalpel. This performance, was documented in photographs, blood prints, and skin collage. The words “amor” and “dor” (love and pain) are written on my skin with scalpel, in each of my arms and later removed and placed on a sheet of paper. For the first time I combined a body modification technique to art. Rewriting love and pain questions the concepts of the skin as surface and the different textures: the skin and the paper.
actually like (I think)

sera this shouts Little Edie! That or maybe she just wet herself.
anna {farfromtheweddingcrowd} I have no idea who little edie is - must google!
sera Little Edie is from Grey Gardens (http://www.imdb.com/title/t...). It's a crazy fascinating documentary on these two society cousins of Jackie O. There is also a movie about them (http://www.imdb.com/title/t...) made in 2009. Both are great films.
sera also, don't get me wrong, I kind of love this idea, I just don't think it really works with the tank top and I'm not sure what it really works with. Somehow it just falls a little flat.
anna {farfromtheweddingcrowd} Oh imdb - such a wonderful place.
Fetching pins…
