Sandra Frederiks I have a single, white peony with a lovely scent. There are two dark pink ones with not single but not double blooms either, I think they are named Prince something, then I have a Sarah Bernhardt that is a fully double pastel pink. Those ones were planted fro a bit of root. I planted some from seeds and some of them wii bloom for the first time soon, some are not ready to bloom for another year or two. What joyful anticipation it is to wait and see what blooms will join my collection. One of my from seed peonies is a single pink flower that looks like a blushing version of my single white one. They are budding now, I hope I get some nice pictures to post soon.

Marie Nimo wow, she knows her peonies! so some aren't ready to bloom for another year? all i've known are a few colors they come in and the 2 bottom left corner type. they're cute but not fragrant, right?
Sandra Frederiks My Sarah Bernhardt doesn't have a fragrance and neither do the darker pink ones. I am not going home til tomorrow but I 'll try to pst some pictures of the budding ones,. When I planted the bits of roots, it took a whole 3 years to find out what they were. They were labelled one thing but that wasn't what they were. The scented white one I have was supposed to be a double magenta colour, but the scent is so nice, I am very happy that is the one that showed up.
