Laura Gordon Don't laugh at me, but I don't get what the elf on the shelf thing is...
April Campbell Its for kids :) Santa sends an elf to watch the kids till Christmas - he's a doll during the day & no one can touch him! He comes alive (well not really obviously ,but the kids believe he does! :) each night & goes to the North Pole to report to Santa on the kids behavior , what they want for Christmas ect ... the kids are allowed to talk to the elf, but not touch him (or he'll loose his magic of course) ...each night when the elf comes back from the North Pole , he does different things till he has to turn back into a doll again ,when the kids wake up -the kids find him each morning in a new place in your house ..doing different (FUNNY!) things! This is our first year doing it, and the kids are SUPER excited for him to come tomorrow!! Hope I explained it right :)

April Campbell Haha yeah, it really is!! Its kinda like the Toy Story movies ... how all the toys come alive when the kids leave the room -same concept :)
