Hi Dee Before formula there was no choice, but to Breastfeed your baby. It wasn't weird then and it shouldn't be now. I use Breastfeeding covers, but I'm not about to let my baby starve because someone is uncomfortable with it!!!
Desiree Erin Cini I dont have children, and I don't have a desire for them (at least not anytime soon). I understand the need to breastfeed your children when they are hungry, however, I also understand how uncomfortable it can make people feel. I have seen women who have done it without any cover whatsoever and it is a bit much to take in. I have respect for the women that do it and use a cover so to not expose themselves to others.
Kerry Harris Don't people realize that covering a baby isn't always possible?? Some absolutely hate it (and why wouldn't they? *I* wouldn't want to eat like that!), and they all get to an age where they're going to try and pull it off. You know what happens when they do that? MORE breast is exposed! The horrors! Not to mention that when they're newborns, it's practically impossible because you need both hands to feed the baby, one on their head and one on your breast. It's very hard to coordinate a cover at the same time. In short, look away and GET OVER IT!
Tania Veirs I don't understand why some woman think that it's okay to whip out your tits in public in order to feed and not feel self conscience but would leave the room if your hubby has a bunch of his buds over to watch the game. Yes women had to breastfeed before fomula but they didn't make a spectical of themselves while doing it. I knew when my daughter needed to feed and made sure that my schedule revolved around hers, not the other way around. If you know the baby has to feed at 1 pm, don't go grocery shopping then show up at the coffee shop at 12:50.
