Burlap and red... You could change out the color for each season - orange for fall!

Throughout the year, write down memories that make you smile. On New Year's Eve, open it up and reread all of the good stuff that made the year wonderful.

Save money buying mats for pictures. Instead, use fabric to cover frames cut from cereal boxes.

Use cut-off pants legs from old jeans.

family yearbooks - I'd enjoy this so much better than the scrapbooking I never get around to doing...

Use peel-and-stick vinyl flooring for the inside of cabinets. It looks better and is easier to clean than contact paper or that rubbery non-skid stuff.

"The Best of Times" - Under pictures of your kids, hang clocks stopped at the times each one was born.

Use old candle wax to make new layered candles.

Shadow Box Memories - trains, cars, trinkets, whatever. Add a photo of your child playing with the toys.

Love the buttons! For my color scheme, I'm thinking a tall jar/vase/bottle with browns and reds and golds - and topped with silk sunflowers.

20 different ways to recycle t-shirts. I really like this rug!

This T-shirt extender is a great idea! I want one (or more!), but I'd like to find out a way to make one for myself. I don't think it'd be too hard...

Make a vest with a draping front (which can also be tied like a scarf!) from a T-shirt.

I have too much hair to pull off wearing a hat, but maybe I could do this! And it'd sure be great for those days I'm staying home and don't feel like washing my hair...

Thrift store suede jacket + a belt + a tote pattern = just my kind of bag! Now if I could find the time to make it - or someone to make it for me.

Choose inexpensive frames and join them together on the back with duct tape to create a single dynamic unit!

Maybe one day, when the boys have outgrown using my couch pillows as stepping stones... :oP

Ashley Todd Hahaha, @Pam! That's funny! I might have to check that out! :o)

Ruffle tote bag made from a pre-made tote bag. Maybe this is what I need to do since I can't seem to find what I'm looking for...

Weekly dry-erase calendar! (I love my monthly one! This would be great in another room.)

I love this idea of using a hinged canvas to cover the thermostat or alarm panels. Now I just need to see if mine are in places that wouldn't make this look awkward...

This is along the lines of the DIY wipe-off calendar (and wipe-off to-do list) I'm wanting to make...

All you need is an XL t-shirt, some scissors, and some fabric glue!

Now I know what to do with all those old Mardi Gras beads!

Ashley Todd You could also do something similar for a to-do list...

Now THIS I could do! I love blogging, but I don't always have/make the time for it. While I won't give up blogging, this one-line-a-day "journal" would be fun and easy - and great to look back on.
