Use nuts on a bracelet. Why not? I've used copper washers for a pendant, earrings, and a bracelet, and they looked nice. Not wild about the gold, but silver with a contrasting color would look good.
Instead of stacking rings, I'm thinking maybe soldering the stacks and making an adjustable ring...
