{Awesome Free eBook} I was going through my inbox when I found this awesome download: Creativity Matters. Check it out... click the Tinker Toy pic to link through to the site. This quote caught my attention: “Preschool children, on average, ask their parents about 100 question a day. Why, why, why — sometimes parents just wish it’d stop. Tragically, it does stop. By middle school they’ve pretty much stopped asking. It’s no coincidence that this same time is when student motivation and engagement plummet. They didn’t stop asking questions because they lost interest: it’s the other way around. They lost interest because they stopped asking questions.” So what do we do as parents and educators to encourage our children to be passionately curious?
LOL - hubby and i should do this one night after the kids go to bed.

On a tray, place a pile of baking soda. Mix vinegar + a few drops of food coloring in a cup. Give the kids an eyedropper. Have them fill it with vinegar, squeeze onto the baking soda and watch mini volcanoes erupt!
One pinner said…. "glow in the dark slime UPDATE: made this and it was every bit as cool as I had hoped. Not sticky (was afraid it'd be sticky on the hands) and therefore not messy. and it glows! :)"

Phyllis Miller How do you make these?
Audra Silva I'm not sure...maybe glitter glue in the inside of the jar, and some kind of light to make it glow?

This would fascinate kids. And me. Rainbow roses, you can do this by splitting the stems into strands and placing each one in food colouring the roses draw the liquid colouring into the petals, amazing!
