For Emily's I'm a Giant mini challenge, I'm repurposing our old graphite iMac. We gutted it today and now I'm starting to think about the design.
This is exactly what I wanted Aaron to make for me for the iMac house. Now someone else has gone and done it and I probably can't afford it. But it's awesome.
This is very close to what I'm making. I like the space between the sink and the wood.

I don't think upper cabinets are going to work for me.
Wall art. A flickr friend, Mabith, painted this for me when Z was a baby. It's from one of my photos.

Mr. Lemon's going to make me one of these.

I might have to make something like this! I have an ottoman that I can recover.
I think I might use this. It's molded plastic that you can cut with x-acto.
I love everything about this -- the yellow flowers and the cushions and the window seat.

Maybe I should go with a wood floor like this. Flagstone is seeming too difficult. And I just bought a bamboo placemat...
I had to get this one too. Extra special thanks to Mini Dork for the tip!
From the Modern Mini Houses blog. I wish this were smaller. It's in the lily by zuri Etsy shop. This would be perfect for my iMac house.
This is a better shot of the floor. It is the same inside and out. Inside it has been waxed to imitate the reflection of the water below.
We went to Fallingwater today and I'm thinking my stone floor may have to look more like this.

Here is the fireplace that started my love. We've been playing with this set a lot the past couple of days. We made our own family from paper. They like to swim in the pool.

I'll have a small area rug from Flor tiles. I will probably cut them from felt. I'll need to do some math.
Perhaps a smidge of aqua or teal tossed in there. Maybe a throw pillow or a vase. I'm also loving the slate wall. Maybe I'll add a wall somewhere.
There will be lots of yellow in the space. There is nothing better than grey and yellow.
The fireplace will probably look something like this as I'm using one of the iMac speakers to make it. I'm hoping to use a few parts from the computer.
Definitely some sort of hanging fireplace because I've always wanted one and it's hard to hang stuff from an open-topped roombox. The iMac has a ceiling!
Fetching pins…
Heidi Blakeney Ooo...love fieldstone too. That is probably a good call.
Beth Lemon I think I'm going to keep it white like the homeowners painted it when they moved in so it would look more modern.
Heidi Blakeney Wait-maybe I'm totally confused. Is this all for a dollhouse?
Beth Lemon Ha! Yes! http://lemoncadet.blog... We are turning our iMac into a dollhouse. It will be one large living room. This board I'm a Giant is all my ideas for it.
Heidi Blakeney LOVE!!! Don't ask why I didn't think to check your blog.
