Do it yourself summer camp - a list of daily morning activities/tasks for the kids during summer break to keep their bodies and brains active and their house clean. At the end of the week they earned 25 cents for each task completed. The afternoons were for outings, water play, playing with friends, trips to the library, etc. // power of moms

This 36 page packet is intended as a review exercise for kindergarteners to complete over the break, prior to entering first grade (or during the first few weeks of 1st grade). The majority of this packet is aligned with Common Core State Standards. There are also a few introductory skills for first grade.

Soap Clouds anyone? Microwave a bar of Ivory soap while your little one watches in amazement as it turns into a huge "cloud." Then, break the cloud to pieces, and help them make their own new soap. A fun activity for parents and little ones to do together!

Cutest Easter Tradition 1. Buy some "magic" Jelly Beans 2. Plant them in your yard- this only works the night before Easter (wink wink) 3. The next morning go out and see what grew (large Lollipops!) follow link to pics

The tent effect was made with $1 plastic tablecloths cut in half lengthwise and tacked to the ceiling. It gives the room a dramatic look for very little money. Use the same technique to make swags over the doors and archways. Genius!
