Michelle Grimm Recently I dropped a glass jar of face cream into my bathroom sink identical to this one and knocked a hole out of the basin. Vitreous china sinks like this, while beautiful are china after all and will chip and easily break if something heavy hits them. I had 10 wonderful years with my console sink...we replaced it with a beautiful double sink vanity/granite top from Allan & Roth.
