Martha taught us that rather than buying those ridiculously expensive anti-slip mats for a rug, just turn it over and run a few lines of acrylic-latex caulk every 6 inches or so. Let dry and flip over and your rug wont be going anywhere!

Pinterest Challenge Day 11 - Completed! I washed my towels in 1 Cup of vinegar on hot, then again with 1/2 cup of baking soda on hot. I just pulled them out of the washer to move to the dryer and my towels smell 10 times better. Apparently I didn't realize how musty and gross my towels were smelling!

Tide decided to discontinue my favorite scent-Pure Essentials White Lilac. Thanks to Pinterest and "Why Not Sew"'s blog, I decided to make my own laundry detergent. The savings is incredible - The ingredients I needed to make the detergent (which would make multiple gallons) cost LESS THAN HALF of what a gallon of Tide costs. AND it cleans just as well! Plus, I can now choose any scent I want! Brilliant!

When you get your berries home, prepare a mixture of one part vinegar (white or apple cider) and ten parts water. Dump the berries into the mixture and swirl around. Drain, rinse if you want (though the mixture is so diluted you can't taste the vinegar,) and pop in the fridge. The vinegar kills any mold spores and other bacteria on the surface. Raspberries will last a week or more, and strawberries go almost two weeks without getting moldy and soft.
