On Saturday night (May 12th), the Corey Helford Gallery in Culver City will be welcome Mia Araujo (interviewed) and her paintings into their showspace for her first solo show. Into The Woods will feature an aesthetic from the LA-based artist we have become accustomed to – namely her use of a central character surrounded by a smaller cast in associated vignettes. Like scenes from a great play or movie, certain scenes are expertly weaved into a cohesive narrative, all rendered in lush detail.
