A garden trellis is ideal for plants in your flower garden or your vegetable garden that will grow plants vertically. My favorite plant to grow on a trellis are gourds. If you decide to do this, be careful not to put your trellis near a tree, or even just a branch that it can reach. One year we had what we called a "Gourd Tree". My gourds climbed up the trellis and into the nearby tree. When the gourds became mature, it was a funny sight to see all those big gourds hanging from the tree.
