In 1991 is when my collection of Precious Moments Figurines began. I was pregnant with my second child, and due on December 18th. My older sister had been collecting them for a number of years by then, and she gave me the figurine pictured here, "The Good Lord Always Delivers" on Christmas Eve - I was a week overdue and very uncomfortable - and I remember my response was "I hope you're right sis!" I went into labor on Christmas morning, and after being in the labor room all day, feeling very ill and extremely uncomfortable, I vaguely remember passing in and out of consciousness, and a nurse coming in to check on the fetal monitor - then literally running out of the room. The next thing I remember is what seemed like half a dozen people running back into the room and the doctor looking at the monitor and then checking on me.
