Concerning Pinterest's terms of use and you may be sued for pinning. You should read this and pin it too!

So, I’m asking all Pinterest users to pin this graphic to their boards to spread the word in hopes that Pinterest will change their terms. Otherwise, we’ll have to cancel our accounts.

Bernie Lee I have deleted many of my best boards and am purging my other boards of anything with no certain source. It's been difficult and has taken a lot of the joy out of Pinterest.
Kari Kopari Does this mean that you would be liable if you werthe original person to pin something that wasnt' yours, or is everyone that pins it thereafter responsible as well? do you think anyone has really run into problems with this?
Kari Kopari excuse the typos....:)
Carola ~ Boxwood Cottage I asked Pinterest through the help section and got the following answer from Aaron: First, we are in the final stages of updating our terms to make all of this more clear. Pinterest provides a service platform through which people share images, videos, commentary and links with friends or with others. The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) provides safe harbors for exactly this type of platform. If a copyright holder objects to any of the postings – and so far very few have objected – Pinterest will follow the safe harbor procedures set forth in the DMCA. The best practice for users is not to Pin content that is clearly labeled with a copyrighted. However, we protect users by adhering to the industry standard DMCA process for copyright complaints - when we are notified that content is appearing without permission, we quickly delete it and notify users. The DMCA process ensures that copyright owners approach Pinterest with any concerns, and that all concerns are quickly resolved.

Carola ~ Boxwood Cottage I just did it with one of my repins without source and I found the source and added it to my pin
Carola ~ Boxwood Cottage It works really well :)
Paige King and here i thought linking to the original source was automatic! glad to know this.
The North End Loft This is very cool. Love Google.
Carola ~ Boxwood Cottage Paige it is, if you pin it from the original source, but not everyone does. And if you repin a picture that isn't this is the way you can find it, so credit is given where it's due!
Oh I wish for such a pretty bouquet for Valentine's day!

Fetching pins…
Debbie Anderson This isn't even a blip on my radar. Nobody is going to spend thousands of dollars suing someone without first asking that their content be removed. If someone has an issue with something you've pinned...just take it down. It's that simple and all will be well with the world.
Carola ~ Boxwood Cottage Thank you Debbie, that sounds logically and quite reassuring, it's just that after I read the blog post of Kirsten who is a lawyer I was quite unsure about it all, but I guess you are right.
Carola ~ Boxwood Cottage I wrote an Email to Pinterest this morning and just got the follwowing answer ( so Debbie is right!): First, we are in the final stages of updating our terms to make all of this more clear. Debbie Anderson Thanks for expanding on that, Carola! That should clear up any confusion.
