Sometimes, crazy shoes are all you need to make an outfit stand out. This girl kept it simple clothing-wise and accessorized with statement sunglasses and sandals. Her versatile shorts and blazer could work for either a day or a night on the town, which is what makes this outfit great for busy Broke Girls- you just have to add a couple minutes into travel time to account for walking in those platforms.

Time to be bold and bright! Wear your favorite statement sunglasses with simple jeans and simple boots, but stand out in a colorful knit such as this one, this one, or this one.

It’s a bit early for spring dresses, but Broke Girls Guide is already getting in the mood. Florals abound at vintage stores, thrift shops, and flea markets everywhere. Pair one with a simple brown belt, some high socks, and brown boots.

This colorful but understated outfit is appropriately titled “Almost Spring.” The simple, laid-back hair goes perfectly with the layers. Try any biker or bomber jacket, a mid-length black skirt, and some statement wedges. Throw on tights if it’s cold out!

This is a great look (perhaps sans raccoon eyes) because it’s simple and easy to replicate- any black skirt (such as this one from American Apparel), black heels, and oversized vintage sweater would work perfectly.

Although this outfit was shot in New York, its laid-back but polished vibe and heat-readiness look perfect for a warm January day in L.A. Try any relaxed blazer, such as one from H&M or one from Urban Outfitters, and your favorite denim shorts. A velvety hat is what really makes the look unique.

This Parisian woman keeps it simple and elegant with another perfect outfit for hot weather. Try a plain black shirtdress from Urban Outfitters or a fun sheer one, like this one from Nasty Gal (with a slip, of course), and some simple black oxfords. Check out American Apparel’s well-made, reasonably-priced, and vintage-inspired sunglasses to tie the dark outfit together, such as these or these.

What could be better than an outfit that also gives feet a break from excruciating heels? This woman’s amazing look is surprisingly Broke Girl-friendly. The coat and shirt are both from Zara (though, sadly, are not currently available). Try this look with a spring/summer- appropriate blazer, the lovely chiffon oversized button-up from American Apparel in white, and your quintessentially comfortable pair of Converse.

This look on Swedish blogger Elin Kling is impeccably put together, and totally recreate-able with well-priced items! This Topshop tunic dress lends that elegant camel color; pair it with statement black heels and sunglasses.

Layering is essential, even in L.A. This outfit is an extreme of the layered menswear look, but the color palate makes it work quite well!

Romwe.com is the place to be this morning. Nab this sequin skirt there -- but we love this look in total!

Omg, check out these spiky slippers! Romwe.com. Loving the flora belt, too.
