Draw a bird's wing, brake it down into four levels of feathers, and make cardboard templates for tracing onto the foam. The craft foam is very easy to work with, and take colour from pencil crayons and paint beautifully. cut a strip of felt with scalloping shears to cover the top edges of the foam, then totally smeared the felt with sparkle paint so it wouldn't get fuzzy or fray.
