Jen Beckman After searching for just the right shape for storing asparagus upright, I have learned that a mega-super-ultra Slurpee cup for 7-11 is just right for a pound-ish size bunch. Ball jars don't hold enough, even if they are more rustically appealing. At my 7-11, they don't make me buy a Slurpee to get the cup ; )
Lori Fredrich @Jen Beckman - The large widemouth canning jars work well for around a pound -- but we almost always buy larger batches, so we've been using our Fridgesmart Tupperware for this purpose. Added bonus: the textured bottom ensures that the stems can absorb more water. (http://www.amazon.com/Tuppe...)
