Get mileage out of old denim by using pockets and inseams from old jeans to make a rugged denim-pocket bulletin board.
Paint a large cheap board with chalk board paint, then use molding for frame. playroom
backyard chalkboard! (Love this, then you don't have to deal with the chalk dust in the house!)
Do this once a year, make a photobook, and give it to them for a graduation present.
