Can you imagine what a happy place the world would be if we all did work in the world we were happy doing? It starts with us, our choices, our actions, our own lives.

From the site: "Neil's shoes were developed through the Longhouse Action Research Bursary. A period of research spent talking to the tradesmen about their objects and interpreting my findings in sculpture. Neil's shoes are based on a silversmith and his work shoes. They are the shoes that come in to see out their last working days in the workshop. Eventually when the stitches can take no more they all sit in a group together seeing out their retirement. This is a body of work I hope to pursue this year so watch this space."
