Cathy James @ NurtureStore @Yelena McManaman I know, I'm really looking forward to reading the others.
{Sunflower House} I double dog dare you to read this post and not add it to your spring to-do list. It is awesome! Have you ever done a sunflower house? Do you have any additional suggestions? :-)

Momalama For my daughter, we started with a bean /cucumber teepee then lined each side of a walkway to its "front door" with zinnia's, planted a few pumpkin to vine and fill in around the outside of the teepee, and finally outlined the back 3 sides of this play "lot" with a sunflower fence! Yes. It was all planted as seed and we had a ball watching it grow into a great playscape with food & vegetables to harvest! At most, it was maybe 5' x 5' square.
Momalama Sorry, looks like my quote signs appear as ' in my comment above.
Cathy James @ NurtureStore @Rebekah Survance Bees are an asset in the garden - we try to positively encourage them. You could plant a giant variety of sunflower that will open and attract bees when they are way above the kids reach.
Rebekah Survance Oh I know they are an asset. I think it's a cool idea - but for me, no matter where I was, bees would attract to me and I always got stung, now allergic to them. I love the idea - but I would be afraid of the bees.
Cathy James @ NurtureStore Oh that's no fun for you @Rebekah Survance :( We're making our den out of sugarsnap peas this year so the kids can sit inside and snack!
How wonderful is this rainbow tree from @Aleacia @ Dillydaliart? Click through to see how they did it. I think we might give this a try.
