The real knitting has started. This is the back. Just finished the bottom border, now moving on to the Stockinette Stitch portion of the back.

This swatch is out of the same yarn, Painted Merino, but in a different colorway. Swatches are critical for writing a pattern, as well as knitting from that pattern!

Sherri Adams Where can I get this yarn? I'm so in love with the colorway!
Cheryl Beckerich I was going to let you know to look at www.scarletfleece.com, but you found it before I got the chance!
Sherri Adams I lost the link you gave for the sweater you knitted with this yarn - I'd love to buy the pattern.
Cheryl Beckerich Creative Knitting magazine holds the copyright for this pattern. If you happen to be one of their electronic subscibers, you can get access to 2 years of back issues. It is really a pretty good deal. As far as I can tell, they are not selling this one as an individual pattern.

Kat Oliver I'm thinking I like the sleeves.
Teresa Halvorson-Fox I love the sleeves. This is something anyone any size could wear.

Kat Oliver Hi Cheryl...I like it-which yarn?
Patricia Pollard Depending on the weight of yarn, vest could be worn more often than with sleeves

I like the brilliance of these colors, and especially the greens

Kat Oliver I'm liking this the best-that pop of yellow-green-although not sure I like the spring green.
Cheryl Beckerich I like the spring green, and am not as thrilled with the yellow green (in the picture). In the yarn - I am thinking more dark green, grays, charcoal, a little white and sky blue
