LACE resist technique: lay lace or cloth doiley on your paper, spray krylon clear gloss spray through the lace, paint with watercolor. Could also try using a paper doiley.

Krylon’s Looking Glass spray paint, which dries into a mirror-like finish. First, spray the body of your plain glass lamp (or vase, knick knack – anything made out of glass can be transformed) with clean water. While the surface is wet, spray it thoroughly with Looking Glass spray paint.
