Stevie Morgan So Ive hot this door laying around, not real sure what to do with it. Throw it away, cut it up, or what seems to be the current choice, leave it laying around the garage. Amber V Ikea sells a desk that looks just like that - it attaches to the Expedit shelving system. I use one of the 2x4 expedit cube shelves with the desk attached as my sewing desk - it is perfect! I'm actually thinking about adding another desk to the other side and using it as a separate cutting space.

Amber V @Karen, it looks like they are also a DIY from Lowe's. Link is here: http://www.lowescreativeide... You can likely purchase inexpensive plain tab top panels at Ikea or Target (perhaps even Lowes?) to use as the base for the project.

Patricia H Jodi, You can create straight edges using painters tape. I've created borders on a wall using this method and touched up with a thin brush after I have removed the tape.
Centsational Girl If you paint over the painter's tape with your base color first, allow it to dry, then paint with the accent color, peel when wet, you'll get a perfect stripe
Christy Altman That technique totally works, and use FrogTape as insurance... :-)
