The Turquoise Ixia comes from the Cape region of South Africa, where it grows during the winter and goes dormant for the summer. Charlene Cundy I was thinking the same. When it opens more it seem to be more peachy, and I think your right, the climate probably has something to do with it. My other english roses don't do as well because of the heat
