Shele Hobza so where's the recipe?
charles elliott Pommes Dauphinoise Yield: 2 servings ½ - ¾ cup heavy cream (or half and half) 1 garlic clove, thinly sliced 2 tablespoons unsalted butter 1 lb potatoes, very thinly sliced 2 tablespoons grated cheese (Parmesan, gruyere, etc.) salt and pepper to taste Steps Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Thinly slice the garlic clove and set aside. Coat a small, non-stick saucepan, baking dish or similar with butter and set that aside as well. Peel and thinly slice the potatoes. Put a layer of potatoes in the buttered pan and layer garlic slices, cheese and a pinch of both salt and pepper on top. Repeat until no ingredients are left. Pour the cream or half and half over the potatoes, just until covered. Bake for 30 - 45 minutes, or until thickened and lightly browned.
Shele Hobza YUM!!

Vickie Bohi I think I could get brave and do something beside clear with this color of polish, very nice.
Beth Anderson Rachele, I have the midsize unit, not the cheapest, not the cadillac @ Rachele Johnson
Rachele Johnson Thanks @ Beth
Jean Williams I strongly recommend the white one in the middle, not the red one because you have to raise the top to get the bowl in. I have the red one but the 6 qt. one (not pictured)-it's actually the better one if you do a lot of baking. I have a Kitchen Aid that's 42 years old too and it's still running. My red one just had repair work done and it was gone for a few weeks, and I couldn't get by without one because I had a lot of Christmas baking orders, so I went out and got a 7 qt. Viking and it's awesome
Rachele Johnson Thanks for the advice @ Jean
