Use alcohol in a spray bottle to kill bugs in your home instead of the toxic stuff in the can. Alcohol dries clean with no oily residue and is more effective than the bug sprays you'd buy in the store.

Magic Eraser (any brand) for resurfacing DVDs! This fixes scratched/ skipping CDs and DVDs. Using a damp magic eraser, work from middle to edge, then following the curve of the DVD. (You're scuffing down the surface to the level of the scratch.) Another pinner swears this works. worth a try

The "miracle" of baking soda and peroxide. Put 1/4 cup of baking soda in a bowl.....add enough peroxide to make a paste. Rub on with fingers or sponge. Cleans EVERYTHING! Stove, oven, pans, stainless steel applicances, even the white handles of the refrig door.

I've had one for two years and nothing works as well. Mine was made from 2 cups of DAWN and 1 cup of rubbing alcohol. I used the good ziplock bags- one inside on another with one zipper side down inside the other with the zip on top. Loosely wrap in a thin dishtowel or into a old pillow case. Mine started leaking after about a year so I just poured it into new bags. It freezes nearly solid but becomes maleable quickly. Don't use on bare skin without a cover- they are really, really cold.
