The Market Place on Broadway, home to Ardmore’s Farmers Market, was host to the Main Street Lobster Fest on Sunday night. Was it just me or do you think someone was bribing the Oklahoma weather? This must be the case, because there is really no other reason for such an ideal evening.

Turner Falls Park is the oldest park in Oklahoma and was named after Mazeppa Thomas Turner who discovered the state's largest waterfall in 1878. Just below the Arbuckle Mountains, the water forms Honey Creek before falling 77 feet into a natural swimming pool. Part of the Duncan Area Lake, Lake Humphreys features a 17 mile shoreline offering 44 RV hookups on concrete. Enjoy the pavilion and picnic area or partake in the hunting and fishing. The 840 surface acre lake is filled with bass, largemouth bass, white bass, catfish and saugeye. Bow fishing is also permitted at the lake.

As one of the four lakes in the Duncan Area Lakes, Clear Creek Lake offers a number of outdoor activities namely camping, hunting and fishing. The 11 miles of shoreline features 102 electric RV hookups on gravel or concrete with three pavilions, two dump stations, two boat ramps, enclosed floating fishing dock and a fishing house. Clear Creek Lake has approximately 60 surface acres stocked with bass, catfish, crappie and walleye.

BLUE RIVER. Those looking for an outdoors and adventure will enjoy Scotty's Blue River. Blue River is known far and wide for trout, small-mouth bass, black bass, crappie, and blue catfish fishing. Hunting deer, turkey, and wild hog hunting is also very popular here.

Cedarvale Botanic Gardens:: This former resort is now a restaurant that overlooks a botanical garden, creek and limestone bluff. Thousands of flower varieties are grown including tropical hibiscus, 2,500 tulips, waterfalls, unusual geologic formations, bridges and an arboretum.
