cognitive dissident The weirdest thing is how insecure they are about their faith: they need to have it constantly reaffirmed with crosses, prayers, Ten Commandment monuments, signs & symbols everywhere...it's almost as if they're afraid that their god would disappear if they stopped trying to wish him into existence for even a single second.

cognitive dissident I wish the condescending Christians (well-represented on Pinterest, as everywhere else in America) would try to answer this question: Why should their incessant belief statements be treated as innocuous (or even beneficial) when atheists' opposing statements are treated as offensive and harmful? It certainly doesn't have anything to do with the truth of their claims.

Salena Sorensen These are lies that have been taken out of context intentionally. If you read the bible, you will see this. A great book to get facts from is called "The Case For Christ" by Lee Stroble. Hope That helps.

The verses read as follows: "If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple." "Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him." and "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." Ignoring verses like these won't make them go away.
