"8" is a powerful account of the case filed by the American Federation for Equal Rights (AFER) in the U.S. District Court in 2010 to overturn Proposition 8, a constitutional amendment that eliminated the rights of same-sex couples to marry in the state of California. Framed around the trial's historic closing arguments in June 2010, 8 provides an intimate look what unfolded when the issue of same-sex marriage was on trial.

ALL school have rules against fighting why the break down here. And, people disagree that there should be special laws against discrimination for children at school stating that bullying policies protect them as well. This story sure contradicts that stance.Target of LGBT Bullying in Ohio School Tells His Story. Becky Collins and her gay son Zach describe a pattern of LGBT bullying that lead to a brutal attack. Click the link to see the video. Unfortunately there are many who do not live in the real world. American Family Association's Tim Wildmon spoke with fellow hate group leader (and frequent MSNBC commentator) Tony Perkins about why gay people care about getting married, Right Wing Watch reports. It's not to dignify their commitment and love for one another under the law, it's to fill the vacuum inside that comes from being a homosexual, Perkins explains. Says Perkins: "Not every person that identifies as a homosexual or a lesbian is an activist trying to redefine the laws. I do think and many of those who have come out of the homosexual lifestyle will tell you this that they are looking for acceptance, there is an emptiness within them, they are looking for that acceptance and they think that if society will redefine the norms of behavior that will make them feel content, and it won’t because they are operating outside of nature and outside of God’s plan and design. It will be something else next; redefining marriage will not be the end of this. We’re already seeing this in California, SB 48, the measure that took effect this month, now all of the “positive” contributions of those in the GBT, gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender population have to be taught in the public schools, so it will be the indoctrination of our kids to teach them that homosexuality is normal."

The longer they wiped their tears, the longer the audience applauded. An unexpected connection was made between the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles, their audience and this song when it was performed at the end of their 2008 concert that spanned the music of the 70s. Dominic Gregorio conducts.

This comment is from a YouTube comment in regard to the horrible comments left regarding this video: The comments on this video are disgusting. The ad isn't trying to limit anyone's freedom of speech. It simply asks you to think about the words you're using before you say them because they can offend people. Even though most people don't intend "that's so gay" offensively, it creates negative connotations that imply being gay is stupid. How would most of you like it if everyone said "that's stupid, its straight. Whoops, I didn't mean to offend straight people by saying being straight is stupid!" JAS0992

I don't agree with the violence in this video, but to me it represents how some feel about the word gay to be derogatory. It is about sensitivity and not a personal attack on you. Although "gay" used to mean happy it carries a much different meaning now. Please don't use it as an insult.
