Via my career and personal life, I've seen so much illness and those that demonstrate judgement instead of understanding; distain instead of compassion. I hope that you will take the time to just look at some of the medical issues people face everyday. Maybe, it will open up a discussion that needs to take place...Be well. If there are videos, some only display the description and the play symbol, but if you click on the play symbol it will play the video. Please check my board, Advocacy ~ Clothing & More for items that are available for purchase.
Amblyopia is treatable. I had an exe surgery when I was very young to treat it and other things to do. I was told that when I was older I would need another one. But, I have not needed another surgery and won't!!! I'm glad that my family detected it early!!

Recovery position after grand mal seizure which is not called a tonic-clonic seizure. When someone is having a seizure, never try to restrain or put something in their mouth. Move all potentially hazardous things away or put yourself or someone else between the hazard and the person. MOST IMPORTANT: protect their head even if it means putting your hands between the person's head and the ground.

Emily Beaird I have grand mal seizures i didn't start having them until I was 20 years old
Coleen Uyehara How scary for them to have started at 20. Please if you want me to add, clarify or delete anything let me know. take care.
If you don't find this joke funny, please come and take a look at the comments and/or add your own to this pin, pinterest.com/... From what I have seen, from the number of repins there are at least 7000 pins that find this quite hilarious. I don't find it funny. Please, help me out by going to the link and making a comment. This is not funny. AIDS is a disease that still has no cure or vaccine...it is deadly. There are approximately 20,000 deaths and 35,000 newly diagnosed per year. We don't make cancer a punchline neither should we with AIDS. I know people who have died and who are HIV positive.

I wonder if this would be funny if you have lost someone to AIDS and watched them struggle with the disease and die. I wonder if this would still be funny to you. If you had someone die from cancer, a joke like that would not be funny either. Have some compassion. Most people with AIDS that I know do not think this is funny.
ABCs changed to CAB In 2010, the American Heart Association changed its long-held acronym of ABC to CAB — circulation, airway, breathing — to help people remember the order to perform the steps of CPR. This change emphasizes the importance of chest compressions to help keep blood flowing through the heart and to the brain. www.mayoclinic.co...

This isn’t some tan girl covered in makeup with perfectly straight hair and a perfect smile. This is a girl with Pfeiffer Syndrome, who has had bangs her whole life to hide her forehead and struggles everyday to be okay with looking this way. She’s had several surgeries and will have a couple more. she can’t wear makeup much, her eyes are sensitive. Her jaw is misaligned. Her forehead is too thick and has to be shaven down. Her cheekdowns have to be moved forward by surgery. when she was four she had something called a ‘halo’ which was a metal circle screwed into her skull and jaw. though she fought through it medically, she struggles everyday with the emotional sideeffects. she doesn’t look like her family or her friends. she may never look normal. she has depression and eating issues because of what she has had to accept about herself. she has done awful things to be pretty. nobody ever sees her without makeup or without bangs. until now. She, is me. and if I make your blog ugly, than don’t reblog this. but if you can be one of the few people in my life who I know are fully comfortable with it, than reblog this so people know. you are beautiful. even if you don’t realize it, you are. everyone is,

Joan Redd I'm sorry - do you have it?
Coleen Uyehara I did, but I've been cancer free since 1993. No treatment what so ever, but the who process and the surgery and recovery were horrible especially since I was living alone.
Joan Redd I'm glad to know you're cancer-free. I've had cervical cancer in situ and a friend of mine is a 6-year colon cancer survivor. She was also living alone, so I know how horrible it can be. I transcribed cancer clinic and treatment notes as a medical transcriptionist at one point.
Coleen Uyehara Oh wow, you have been through much. Transcribing for the clinic seems like it would be difficutlt.
