BIPOLAR DISORDER causes serious shifts in mood, energy, thinking, and behavior–from the highs of mania on one extreme, to the lows of depression on the other. More than just a fleeting good or bad mood, the cycles of bipolar disorder last for days, weeks, or months. And unlike ordinary mood swings, the mood changes of bipolar disorder are so intense that they interfere with your ability to function. For more than twenty years, I have worked in the mental health field in various positions. My goal is to earn my doctorate in clinical psychology. I am an advocate of informing other of mental health issues to help break down the stigma and misconceptions and help others to understand. This BOARD is dedicated to Bipolar Disorder. Specific issues and diagnoses are on the boards for Feelings/Thoughts, Depression & Suicide, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder and Other Issues which are all on the boards near the top. Near the bottom of the page are boards that are specific to Self Injury, Eating Disorders and Sexual Abuse. Please take a look at the Mental Health Videos they are quite interesting and some very entertaining. If there are videos, some only display the description and the play symbol, but if you click on the play symbol it will play the video. Please check my board, Advocacy ~ Clothing & More for items that are available for purchase.

Hikikomori Hime Most peoples understanding of it only comes from works of fiction. I've met those with an incredibly romanticized view of the disorder, wishing they had it too. It makes me furious, because it's not something to aspire for. It's not a game. It's not fun.
