One of my favorite parts: "I also hear over and over My parents spanked me and look how well I turned out! Well, just how well did we turn out? We have the highest use of psychiatrists and highest instances of domestic violence and child abuse of almost any country in the world. "

With as many as 13% of Americans having a personality disorder, this might provide insight into people's actions. 13% equates to over 1 in 10, & we all know at least 10 peop...

Hikikomori Hime I hate when people judge hoarders, because I used to be one. This is a great poster, as far as breaking it down. Honestly, I'd probably be a hoarder still, to this day, if it hadn't hurt me so much when my mom was refusing to return items I had loaned her. Instead of being angry, and viewing her as "just a thief" as others would have, I realized it was just a symptom of her illness, and then realized I was on that path myself. :-( I just want to help her overcome it, but I don't know how. It's much easier to help oneself than it is to help someone else that is still in denial. Even now, I have bi-monthly Goodwill Purges, to make sure I stay away from old habits (as I have a habit of taking things people are throwing out, then repairing it or crafting new things). Even if I can't make money off my hobbies, at least Goodwill can make money to help people with.
