Four charcoal kilns were constructed in the logging camp of Piedmont Wyoming by Moses Byrne in 1869. They were used to produce charcoal that was then shipped to Utah. The town became a ghost town in 1901 when the railroad was routed north.

Coleen Uyehara Yes!! I wonder if what we had in Long Beach, CA several years back was similar. It created a 198 vehicle accident with no deaths or serious injuries.
