Love the recipe for the throat spray . Do not love the suggestion to use Echincea spray. Echinecha should only be used to build your immune system BEFORE you are sick, not during an illness!!

herbal honey as a medicine. add garlic and sage directly to the honey, and let sit for 2 weeks. a wonderful, healing medicine that soothed throats and calmed coughs for kids - and it wasn't a hassle to have them take it!

Did you know that a teaspoon of honey (raw is best) and a 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon will usually knock out a cold within a day or two? Take twice a day for 3 days for best results. So many people on the permalink have had good luck with this that I've got to try!

Jennifer Jenks tastes nasty, tho. Throw a little mint flavoring in there to lose the nasty.
Alexis Dunigan Must try & thanks for the tip Jennifer!
Carla Warnock I got a sore on the inside of my lip and along my gum line when I tried it. The sores went away the next day after I stopped doing it. I think it was from the peroxide :(

Whiterock It is always interesting to see you pin something with a caption that I wrote... because you don't follow me. So it makes the rounds, gets to someone you follow, you pin it, and I recognize my own wording. That's kinda neat. LOL!
Cooking TF dot com Sorry, I thought I had followed everyone who had followed me. We must have have some friends in common.
Whiterock No need to apologize! I don't expect people with a public life keep up with everyone they inspire. :)
Fill a clean mason jar halfway with fresh herbs or a quarter full with dried herbs. Top with honey, stir, and cap with a tight-fitting lid. Place in a sunny windowsill, and turn the jar over once per day. Add more honey if the herbs swell and rise above the honey. Allow to infuse for a week or longer, then strain once the desired flavor has been achieved.

Transform an inexpensive flower bucket into a nice-looking umbrella stand by painting the bottom of the bucket with glossy oil-based enamel paint. In addition to providing color, the paint will help disguise any rust caused by dripping umbrellas. Mark the bottom third of a tall galvanized bucket (available at garden centers) with painters' tape; prime and paint this area and the bottom of the bucket. Let dry 24 hours before removing tape.

Heather D I wonder where she gets the pretty bottles to put it in?
Cooking TF dot com There are a number of glass container stores online that would likely have them. Judging by the ribbing on the bottom, I'd say their glass.
Catherine Hébert I use 99 cent spice jars from my local co-op for washes and moisturizers. I buy empty spray bottles from their beauty section otherwise.
Heather D I know there are lots of small bottles around... I like the looks of those specifically. I found a close match on Etsy (in supplies). :)

1 part coconut milk, to 2 parts liquid castille soap (I use Dr. Bronner's) makes an awesome, silky smooth lathering SHAMPOO. Combine it with the vinegar rinse for gorgeous, soft, eco-friendly hair.

Peace of the Prairies According to Stephen Harrod Buhner, in his book "Herbal Antibiotics", echinacea can be used as an antibiotic during an illness. It acts as an immune stimulant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and a cell normalizer. It should not be used for long periods of time without a break. I believe the rule is 2 weeks on 1 week off.
