Amber Le Rose Perhaps cuz they kill "God" in that one? :/
Amber Le Rose READING SUBTLE KNIFE now, found AMBER SPYGLASS. Already I feel like the magic is gone -- he switches pretty much from page one of SK over to an evangelical tone, less lush prose. Hmm.
Amber Le Rose March 16 - finished the trilogy, ended with teeny-bopper love saving the worlds. It didn't resonate. Felt like a stretched and false conclusion.
Awww, The Hobbit. To read aloud to the kids in 2012. Ender's Game read aloud in 2011 was received with much enthusiasm.

True Grit. To Read in 2012. I got this hardback at thrift for 1.99, then found the edition going for 100-200 bucks online. Weird.
Chosen: Across the Desert. Awesome for a 3-5th grader who loves animal adventures. Written by 11yo girl!

Amber Le Rose Wonderful "prarie" style story about moral character. Longer than Little Britches by Moody and not quite as good, but still very worth the read!
