This wonderful millstone of volcanic rock is attributed to the South Seas area. The repeating furrows or grooves form separate areas called harps – typical millstones have 6, 8 or 10 harps – this one has ten. There is an 1” edge on the front surface around the perimeter that has been ground down from use.
