Stellarium is a free open source planetarium for your computer. It shows a realistic sky in 3D, just like what you see with the naked eye, binoculars or a telescope. It is being used in planetarium projectors. Just set your coordinates and go.

phases of the moon chart; this site also has a calendar that shows you each day what the moon will look like for the hemisphere you live in, a great resource, but wouldn't let me pin it. Would be neat to make a calendar like this with the kids after observing the moon for an entire month. Also explore tabs for Gravity on the Moon, which lets you enter your weight to see how much you weigh on moon; and Moon Cycle which explains the phases.
